Prussian "agents provocateurs"

Difficult to explain, but I adore this Trident miniatures with their expressive faces... I ordered this AWI Hessians and painted them as Prussians. The officer looks quite provocative, so I gave him an own little vignette and two privates as entourage. Easy to imagine how he provokes the enemy with, how to say,.. dirty words?

Prussian Hussars HR3

Prussia gets a new squadron of Hussars, this time the HR3 with their beautiful blue-and-white-combination. They are hunting Croates; here, on the picture, in Saxony-Anhalt, just near the famous "Teufelsmauer" (click to see the former post) ....
As skirmish unit, they are able to operate free and without strictly being disciplined - would be a nice view, when they are galloping together with the 4 other squadrons, each of them in individual color..
The figures are of Matthias-Manske-range.

Prussian Red Hussars

Not as promised, to paint faster the miniatures for the next time, is our today´s presentation of the Prussian Red Hussars, the HR 8. The miniatures are of Matthias Manske, out of his new range of Hussars and horses. Really great to paint and heavy in the weight!
They fall into a skirmish with Polish lancers here..

A try with the Pano-function of my mobile....

and the Polish lancers, also Matthias Manske figures...

Prussian Infantry Regiment 40 Alt-Kreytzen

I present you a short scenery of the Prussian Infantry Regiment No. 40, Alt-Kreytzen, in a burning village combat. The miniatures are - I could´t resist to order more and more - of the outstanding Trident in US. For the Regiment´s choice, I was inspired by Nigel Billingtons post (nigbilpainter.blogspot) about the identical regiment, and he had chosen a fantastic pink. I couldn´t imagine the luminosity of this fashion colour and did a research in several sources... But each  showed another pink tone. So, my chosen tone is more grey and decent - if that´s closer to the original or not, I don´t know. But, in a any case: Trident figures are always a great pleasure to paint.
Just enjoy the few shots I did today during a moment, while the clouds opened the sky for a - r.a.- 1 hour sunshine.

Prussia: Oberkommando

Prussias´ Commanders got new staff personnel: This 2 Generals are out of the marvelous range of Frontrank in UK and indeed a great joy to paint. Wonderfully done with details, you can choose between 3 heads for each figure - what a service! They are now in Fredericks duty and  hopefully successful in battles...

This is the full ordonnance with Frederick himself in the centre, assisted by officers and standard bearers (Manske Zinnfiguren).  To give such a vignette with 5 figures a higher importance, I placed two standards on it and gave them a Prussian "national" flag. Unsure if even such a flag was used, the pattern is based on some sources showing the Kurfurstliche Preussische Wappen from the beginning 18. century. The Prussian eagle, crowned and in the center, marks the flag as particular and different from regimental flags. It uses white background and black, little decorations.

Prussian flag, rebuild following several sources.

Prussian Regiment No 11

High activity 2 months before our annual summer battle is to be seen here - in july the armies will beginn their warfare against each other and all players are invited to that weekend. The tabletop is ready, landscape elements repaired, rules corrected and dices polished... just the armies are now under construction for growing, completing or repairing some figures.
Here, I present you the newest Prussian infantry regiment No 11, von Below, just finished. It had particular woven lapels. I like very much the white grenadier caps.
The figures are of Manske Zinnfiguren, the flags self-done paper-prints.

Just as a sweet memory: a Prince August Grenadier throwing a grenade - one of the most famous and marvelous pieces of their range...
