The summer break after the annual battle with Anselm was beneficial, but not dormant. Russia got one of the fabulous Frontrank Officers on horse, who I modified into a General. He is accompanied by his own standard bearer (Trident) and footman (Irregular Miniatures). I changed the color of lapels and saddlebag into a light reseda, which is pure fiction, but gives them a particular recognition and matches well with the flag. That´s all.

I have been following for your blog for a long time. Awesome games and thank you for that.
ReplyDeleteWho is the manufacturer of figures? I can't understand.
The officer is from Front Rank Miniatures 40mm AWI figure range. the colour bearer is from Trident Miniatures. The footman is from Irregular Miniatures.
DeleteThanks Jim. :)

The officer looks terrific, especially the painting of the face.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Alter Fritz! The miniatures of Doug are a joy to paint - it is not my talent, it´s his...

Beautiful work. I like the change of shade of green too - green is a tricky colour to work with on miniatures.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Nigel, the green had 9 or 10 tries before coming up the figure... Thanks for the comment, very glad!! What´s going on with your promised fur-mat? I wait with impatience!! :-)

Super command vignette, I like the footman
ReplyDeleteThank you, Allan!! The footman is one of my favorite pieces of the Irregulars, because his arms are quite flexible - I can always change it.

A little fiction is good.
ReplyDeleteWhat I don't understand is how I missed the last battle until today! Each game I see the pictures and think "this is as good as it gets" and then, always, the next one is even better! Fantastic pictures!
Dear Ross, thank you so much for this comment! Glad to have you here.
